Co-founders and directors
David King
David is the brains behind the company – he can do the tech, write the learning modules and has a head for numbers! Well he did train as a chartered accountant, has an MSc in Health Systems Management and has taught healthcare management for the last nine years. David certainly knows his subject, having spent 13 years in the UK and Australian health services in public health, finance and health intelligence roles. And when he’s not watching obscure films, his current challenge is learning to play the classical guitar.
Dr Suparna Das
Suparna is a hospital doctor and a natural with all things #socialmedia. She has been to both medical school and business school. Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals trained Suparna as an anaesthetist and Ernst & Young employed her as a management consultant. She is a Fellow of The Higher Education Academy UK and has an MSc in Medical Education. Having practised her craft on medics, Suparna has now transferred her teaching skills to business education for healthcare. And why not? Isn’t that what MBAs do – reinvent themselves?
Wayne Gibson
Suffice to say that our web-based business model would have been a non-starter without Wayne. In addition to his clever programming skills, he is also our web analytics and database expert. When he’s not unravelling complex code or obsessively monitoring logs for us, Wayne runs his own company developing business intelligence and performance management software for the NHS. Working closely with GPs and commissioners is part of his day job. Oh and by the way, he’s also an Ironman triathlete.
Mushtaq Khan
Mushtaq is our resident software engineer with a first class degree but wait – he also has a keen sense of aesthetics and design. In fact, he has his own online fashion retail company and knows a thing or two about marketing. So what is he doing in healthcare? Well, he’s an NHS performance analyst with several years’ experience of negotiating and monitoring contracts with GPs, dentists and pharmacists. Complex Excel spreadsheets and QOF data maybe right up his street but won’t get in the way of keeping a keen eye on our website design.

Bill Nuttall
Bill is a senior HR professional wide wide-ranging experience of the public, not for profit and private healthcare sectors. He has operated at executive management team and board level, underpinned by substantive operational management experience and is passionate about retaining talent whilst looking at pragmatic solutions for front line managers.

Shally Shefer
Shally is an experienced IT project manager and business analyst, balancing an effective blend of structure and control with customer-focus, motivation and people skills. She has successfully led a number of high profile health informatics projects including, most recently, the Population Health Manager web tool from Dr Foster Intelligence, which she managed from inception to commercial release.

Dr Nick Silversides
Nick trained and worked as a doctor in London before making the switch to health information and business intelligence. He now runs his own management and development company for business intelligence in healthcare. In addition to helping us with our use of new technology and social media, Nick also runs a very successful video games blog.
